Not far from the concrete and pavement of the city is
a family community, which integrates a desert environment
into its every day living. While other developments are
built over the desert, the homes in The Preserve blend
into, and become a part of, the surrounding landscape.
The Preserve provides residents a unique opportunity of
living in harmony with nature. The goal in developing
The Preserve was to save and protect the Sonoran Desert.
The City of Scottsdale required that a Natural Area
Open Space (NAOS) be dedicated to the preservation of
native wildlife and vegetation. All Common Areas within
the subdivision and a portion of each homeowner’s
property is designated as NAOS. These areas are to remain
wild and undisturbed.
Every homeowner is a member of The Preserve Owners’
Association which is governed by a board of seven directors.
The Association oversees the affairs of the Corporation
in accordance with the governing documents and Arizona
State Law. The day-to-day operation of the community
is administered by a management company, which responds
to homeowner’s needs and concerns. To ensure the
continuing character and value of the homes, the Board’s
Architectural and Landscape Committee reviews proposed
improvements, changes, and modifications to properties.
